Threads, thank you so much for your reply and for your welcome.
What a great suggestion. I tried to find info on the machine before but for whatever reason was not able to find that site. Narrowed my search and I did try again. I was able to locate the site and I joined. Waiting for reply so I can get into their forum. Plus I am so happy because I was able to download the manual for my machine in english. Did not speak Spanish before I moved here but am doing ok now. Still have problems with technical things, like Windows in Spanish and manuals (as you could probably imagine) so this was a great gift.
I even got adventurous this year and joined a stained glass class. I have to learned how to do this and have met other people. I am having fun with that and love the work, it is like making quilt patterns, only in glass. In fact I even found a flower quilt pattern used in applique and used the pattern for the flower to make a holder for tea bags for my sister-in-law for Christma. That was fun.
Back to the discussion at hand, I am going to take the part names and numbers that I found on the site to the dealer where I brought the machine and see if he can order them from the company. I did go there last week but he did not know if they had these parts or not so this should help alot.
One other question and then I will leave you alone, LOL. Since you have the machine do you know if I can free hand quilt by raising the presser foot, did buy a clear one, and lowering the feed dogs? I am going to practice stitching in the ditch quilting without the ditch quilting foot. I think if I take it slow I can do that ok.
Again, thank you for the welcome and your suggestions. I am looking forward to spending time chatting and browsing the site.
Hope to talk with you soon and when I figure out how to download a jpeg from my computer I will share with all of you here my first quilt. Ok, one more question, is there an area on the site where they have instructions to do this or can I just use the Select Image file to attach option at the bottom of the message to do that?
Happy New Year to all, many blessings, peace, prosperity and happiness to everyone.
Sincerely,
Penny
