    Pat,
I too loved seeing the close up of this one. Never seen this pattern before, looks like it would take awhile to get the hang of it.

Another quilt by Pat

Another one 50 x 50. A smoking quilt for an elderly man who has to sit by open door to smoke. Son asked to make a quilt to cover his legs.

Kathy, thank you it worked this time anyway.
This is my first attempt at paper piecing, very confusing but nice when done. This is a table topper 36 x 36 inches, hand quilted.

Kathy, I am going to send you 3 emails with 3 quilts, one has a close up of a block. If you can post them I will be very grateful. When I go to work next week, I will print the instructions and then try to follow them. No printer at home. Thanks a lot. Pat.

I love everyones postcards. I finally made one today. Now I have to mail it. My photo isn't very good, so I'll let Michele and Simon post a photo. I used scraps of four noodle fabrics in mine.

The first thing to do is to resize the photos to 499 x 499 or less. There are a number of different programs. Find your photo on the computer, make a copy (so you don't lose the original), right clicking may bring up a list with edit in it. After resizing and saving it, you can start a new post and click on browse, find the photo on your computer and select it.

These things take practice. It took my a while to get the hang of it all.

If this is beyond your computer skills get some help. Or if help isn't available, someone could post it for you. I will pm my email address.

    Kathy

Please can someone give me explicit instructions on how to post some pictures? I have finally transferred a few from my camera and emailed them to myself. What do I do now? Not too computer smart ok!

    Hello as4rhouse,

Thank you, one of the girls here showed us use and gave us a link. The rest is history as they say.

First one i made with left over material. Turned out nice, and it was used in a card. But your idea of using them in a quilt....back to the drawing board! Love the idea! I'll have to put my thinking cap on and play with it.

If you get it done first please show us a photo and explain how .

    Welcome to Creative Quilting!

Those look wonderful! I recently discovered them myself and have been racking my brain for ways to easily convert them into quilt patterns. I am new to quilting but the only way I think they will work is to piece together the design and then appliqué that onto a block.
