Adjustable Rulers

  • Adjustable Rulers - 2008-07-26 10:30:36-04
Ladies I found a fantastic new tool at the show. It's called an adjustable ruler. You set the size strip/block /triangles you want to cut and then just go for it with the rotary cutter. They are so quick and perfect every time. Aussies-She was on New Inventors on ABC about a month ago. Her website is www.westalee.com.au and they are distributed by www.aussiepatches.com.au I bought a couple of them for myself, and 2 different ones for the club library (so I can borrow them). I was really impressed with how easy they are.I know she said they post overseas

Many family members contributed photos and drawings for this quilt. It is meant to be a wall hanging, though last thing I knew it hadn't been hung yet. It is best viewed up close to enjoy the images.

    Hello ladies:
I'm a fan of paper piecing techniques !! I know how to make it but I'm willing to create my own designs. Anybody has tried EQ programs to create them? I live in Argentina and people who see my quilting work ask me for argentinian designs... I'm not sooo good with tecnologies so I want an easy to use program...thank you

Hair doesn't look that grey Suzy! The quilt is worth it, I looked up the pattern and will try to buy it, it really strikes my fancy, in nice browns and golds and greens for me.

Jo, I would love to have a plate. I want to make a small dresden plate quilt from my 1930's. I saw one with blocks that were only about 6 to 8 inch across and it was so nice. Wanted to make one ever since and figure noodles are perfect. Can you put it on here so I can just print it off?

    Diane,
This one is for me! It gave me more grey hair in one month than anything ever did. So I'd like to keep it to remember the strugle.

    Sheila,
Boy I'd love to go get the last leaf at Jo's.
That would be a dream come true.

Thank you all for the nice reviews.

Hmm, was starting to think of a signature quilt for Penelope's 21st(the xmas blocks have got me going) thought it would be better than a wooden key but didn't know what else to put on. You've both given me idea's might add a few photos maybe an appliquéd key, 21 etc.
thanks girls you' both do great work

Re:Latest quilt top

    Pat,
thanks. The material is Moda but the pattern is called Jelly Rose by Fig Tree Quilts ~ Joanna Figueroa.

    Need one large jelly roll
    5/8 apple green
    3 1/4 solid cream
    7/8 for sashing
    1/2 yd. for binding
    3 5/8 yds. for backing.
If made as the pattern calls there are (36) 8x10 blocks then sashing about 58 1/2 by 70 1/2. it covers the top of a queen bved but I think I'll use it on a day bed.

Suzy, that is very beautiful. What size is it? and is it a Moda pattern? Would love to try it in autumn colours.

Thought I'd never get this one done. Not sure why, but it sure made me work for it. The flower head is pieced in and the stem's and leaf are hand appliqued. The back will be the same red as the sashing.

This is Moda's Christmas print this year. To me it's not a true Christmas print but that is what they call it.
Just noticed there is one leaf missing in the lower middle! Glad to catch it nowPost edited by: suzyq.2, at: 2008/07/20 09:53
