Tennye, you have a point. Fabric with a darker back ground would show off the gold better. The two fabrics do blend together somewhat; Anna will have to decide if that is good or bad for this quilt. A dark border might distracted from the blocks. Oh, so many design choices and neither wrong.

Well, I love the gold, but the poinsettia beside it sort of makes it disappear. I think something not so close to the same color as the gold would be better.
Just my opinion, to take or leave.

Here it is again with what I think the borders will be. Problem is I have auditioned so many fabrics now Im not sure how this looks. I need some feedback. Thanks,

Anna, use the rest of the noodles on the back of the quilt. Just sew the strips together or make an inner border on the back (outer too hard to get lined up perfect with the front.

I hear what you all say. I have to agree even though I am disappointed that I cant use more of the beautiful noodles. My original plan was to strip piece the border using the noodles cut 2 inches x 4 1/2 inches. It looks awesome on paper, really ties the whole thing together. But........ now its done I just cant imagine doing it that way. But I cant figure out what to border it with either, which stinks! I dont what this to turn into a UFO. I guess I will leave it up on the front of my china cabnet and let it work its magic. Oh the problems us quilters face. hehehe

    Hugs all,
    Anna

They are all three too cute, I would love any of them, if I were in your group. I am sure you all will enjoy them.

Anna My opinion for what it is worth, here goes,
simple/plain borders, quilt top at the moment has impact, Wow factor, let main part of the quilt speak/shout out. Least is best, do not dedtract from main impact.

This is what it looks like before the borders. I am still mulling over just how to make the borders. Now that I have sashed it with stripes I dont know if more stripes in a ladder type border would look good. Still thinking......
