In the heart one, you could put the intials of the wedding party in each heart with the bride and groom in the centre.
The wedding picture could go in centre of other one, to make picture frame.

I think it is wonderful. Are you going to put narrow blue border same as sashing? Then another scrappy border?
Love all scrap, and crazy, quilts. Actually , love all quilts.

I have embroidered these two by hand, took them with me to my volunteer job to do in quiet times. Now have to take them there to show the finished article. I could have done them by machine, but hand embroidery like hand quilting my relaxing time job while watching TV.
Drives my hubby crazy that I do two things at once.

Your quilt is great, you must be proud of yourself. So many pieces. Not a quick quilt, just cutting out must have taken hours. The blue for the sashing I like (my favourite colour) you cannot go wrong. Great way of using up scraps, I have started to cut mine into squares but still don't seem to be nearing the bottom of the baskets.

Oh Joyce, what a hard decision for them to make !!!! They are both beautiful and worthy of being used. The second one will have to be used for something - it is too beautiful to not be used.

Your work is so beautiful.... Maybe I can get married again.... BOL
Your son is so lucky to have such a talented mom.
My vote would go for the one with the little birds on it..... Were they done by hand or machine??? Which ever way they are wonderful.

Here are my finished ring pillows for my son's wedding. I could not decide which I liked best so made two. Now they have to decide. They get them both, to keep anyway. I am going to put ribbon in the centre to tie the rings onto the cushion. Not sure how old the ring bearer is and have visions of rings being flung off unless they can be tied on. I am going to embroider their initials T K in the centre of whichever one they choose. Post edited by: JHPym, at: 2008/03/06 19:04

I consider I have my dream job now too. After 40 years of working in a bank, I now do more accounting than banking, and no one else there, no line up. Next best thing to retirement, and I still get paid (even manage to quilt some when it's not busy)

Awesome job another project I have always wanted to try and just haven't gotten around to yet. Too many quilts running around in my head to get them all done. I need to work more hours I think so I can finish more things. Gotta take my ques from Joyce, and stay at it longer each day. Then when would I get on here and talk to all of you??? LOL

I love the machines I sell and I love working at the store. I love teaching the classes and i love making all of the projects I make. It is a dream come true for me.

Love it Joyce. You are so quick at doing things. I'm still looking into it. The sheets are 5 for 25.98 at the quilt store, the brand she recommends anyway, and I do trust her to give me the best.
The photo store will scan all the pictures onto a cd for the computer, they said collect them all to put onto one cd if possible. So slowy but surely planning anyway. Hope it turns out as good as yours.

After two days solid sewing, unpicking, and more unpicking, looking, fitting and cutting, I finally have finished the top of my Memory Quilt, Vicki's Hearts What do you think? I only have until Good Friday so have to get onto the quilting quickly. I am going to hand quilt most of it as the pieces are all odd sizes. The photos are all different sizes so was not able to make symetrical but still I think it looks pretty good. Now off to spray baste and sit and quilt. What a joy. I am going to quilt with Perle cotton in 1/4 size stitches.
Hubby thinks my bottom should be numb by now, I forgot lunch yesterday and his dinner not ready when he came home. It's what happens when you quilt.
