The quilt is lovely and I know from experience it took a lot of time. I have made my own quilt by hand. I still have not complete the hand quilting. I am about third finished. I know I will finish it one day. lol.

    Hi Susan,

Thank you for sharing your fabulous quilt. You certainly have the patience of Jobe to do it by hand, especially all of those flying geese.

    Hi Susan

Your quilt is wonderful.... all that applique and the tiny piecing... How long did it take you to make this quilt. You have the patience of a saint.

    Thanks for sharing.

Wow I am in awe of those who have the patience to do hand work. It is simply lovely!

Was this done by needle turn or a fusible technique like raw edge applique?

And all those flying geese by hand! I would have never finished that without a support group!

[file] this is the what my quilt looks like now. I have just finished the paper piecing flying geese border and there are 280 triangles in. The whole quilt is done by hand except for the purple sashings, that was done by machine. I have to put some embroidery on and the get to the quilting.

the Animal Noodles, very clever how you have arranged the various colours. Here is a Gold Star.

I try and let the fabrics decide the quilt, although sometimes (as in this case) I see a design in a book or mag and the little light bulb goes ping and I say thats it! I thought the round the world pattern was particularly appropriate, as the animals were from 'around the world'. (I'm into words and puzzles in case you hadn't guessed)

Sisters, sometimes you can't live with them, but then you can't live without them. Shiela will love this quilt, they are my favourite colours, so they must be good. Just love putting blues and lilacs together it is always surprising how good they look. Love the hearts, I have a bit of passion for them at the moment as well. Gold Star
