Love it Jo. I have book covers for my books when reading, with page markers (ribbons) sewed in so the grandkids don't pull them out.

Project today, rainy, cold day in England.
Playing with flower fabric, no gardening.
    Not perfect, only for me.
Book cover for my shopping list book, you can always find it in your bag.
As I use it each day, think of your all.
    LOL Jo

Anna, you know I think this quilt is fantastic. I am so impressed with the quilting.
If I do anything that good on my first attempt I will be exstatic.
I've bought the garden gloves, now on the look out for the right fabric panel, no wolves in Australia so hope for something with Kangaroos, or Koalas etc, got the darning foot ready and I will be away.
Not sure what year this will happen, have to stop promising things to other people, as you say less time when you are home.
Glad you are feeling better, take care of you.
    Cheers Joyce

You have really out done yourself this time. What a beautiful quilt. Great minds think alike, I just bought a piece of fabric very close to this one. Mine has bears and wolves and moose. I think it may even have an eagle, so I shall have to get busy and get mine done.

I went away to my editing program and cropped and enlarged the top section of the quilt so you can see the cariboo panel and the surprise hidden in the side flying geese.

This is the back of the green center block. I love it!!! And so does Tom. It is the first one he has really made a fuss over. I think I have to find some more wolfs and make a larger one as Toms couch blanket. Now that I am home I bet it takes more than a week. Its amazing how much free time you dont have when there are no grandkids to cook, clean and fuss over you. hehehe, think I can make a deal with Tom to do those things while I sew him a quilt.

While I was recovering from my illness I spent some time at my daughters. She lives out in the boonies on a ranch. Needless to say when I started feeling better I was bored. Lucky thing is the are two places to buy fabric where she has to drive for groceries.
I found the wolf fabric and flannel backing at Walmart and the top panel at the quilt store. It is so cool together as it is a picture of mountains, tundra and Cariboo. How perfect is that. The wolfs have a packed lunch. I will post another picture part of the back. I quilted around and on each wolf and tree so the back has a thread picture as pretty as the front. This was my fastest quilt yet. I started it on Sunday and it was finished, label and all the next Sunday when I came home. I gave it to my son Karl for a late birthday present. His birthday was 3 weeks earlier. Karl is in a wheel chair so I made it as a lap quilt to keep him warm when he rides his scooter in the winter. Its small but still looks nice on his bed too.
Oh my how I do run on. A person would think I missed talking with all of you. I DID!!!!!!

Kathy, I don't worry about it. God knew mom wouldn't need it any more and gave it to someine else. I got the quilts she made, which are far more important and a small lap quilt that I made her.

No, she is not a quilter, so she contacted the quilt guild and asked for references for her idea. She interviewed a couple of people, and then came back and said she liked my ideas best. How she ever thought of it in the first place, who knows?
Of course I had no odea how to do it and asked you girls first, then my nephew the computer pro, and printer pro. The hardest part was getting the printer to work.Once I had the 20 pictures printed it doesn't take much to make the quilt.

Hopefully the person who received your Mom's quilt appreciates it. Someone might have thought it had been donated to the home and passed it on to some one else. Names and even an address should be on ones that are personal property. At the local nursing home a quilt is given to each resident.

As usual very beautiful Suzy. You do swonderful work. Which eminds me that the one I made for my Mom never came back with her things, and I packed them, so it was gone before that. Make sure her name is on it and yours. If my friend goes to her sisters in Leesburg, I should go visit her for a few days, but it is too hard to leave the beach.

Diane, the top bag is my souvenier from the Chicago International Quilt Festival. But the quilted one beneath it is one my sister bought me at Publix grocery store in Florida because it is for breast cancer and has pink ribbons around the top row. I sewed a zipper in it so I can stash everything in it when I go to quilt shows or whereever.
Thanks for all your compliments, but remember when quoting a price for something like this that the coloured ink cartridges are around $60-80 and should be included.
Today I had a suitcase full of teeshirts handed me and asked to be made into a quilt or two. At least I know money is no object for the person and it will be another adventure. One right after another.
    Paducah here I come.

My 91 year old mother requested a lap quilt. Only request was to use material I already had on hand. (that was easy) This is all done in flannel, as she is always so cold.
Did it in a hurry and have it mailed already. Can't wait to talk to her tomorrow to see her reaction. She just loves showing off her hand made things.

Know for sure this one can't easily walk off!
