Kathy, it is so good to have you back and adding your input to our posts and chats.
The block I did a couple of months ago was the first I had seen pieces cut to size + seam allowance. It consisted of squares, rectangles and 1/2 square triangles so easy to cut. As long as it is easy enough to place the pieces to cover all the section it works well. Just have to be a little more patient to check placing than if working with a bigger piece.
Most people seem to be put off or worried about the waste so I was really pleased to do that and find that it didn't waste. If pieces are cut just a little bigger, the waste is not a problem to me either.Not a lot of difference from some other quilting methods. Much easier than trying to juggle large pieces of fabric too.
