It is turned under, but the bigger pieces had the freezer paper underneath and the stems had the freezer paper on top. Have not tried raw edge YET! But I plan to learn everything before I use all my fabric, about age 125. Except I just bought another 12 yards on sale, bored on my lunch hour, so spent $40.00 selfishly on beautiful fabric.
