I have hesard such good things about King Tut and I have never seen it here in the US, so I really don't know anything about it. That is not to say it isn't the best. I use Guntterman, or Mettler, and i most likely spelled both of those wrong. That is the brands Bernins recommends and they carry them at the store I work in so that is what I use. I also use Isacord embroidery thread,because I read somewhere that it was good for machine quilting and we sell it in the Bernina store I work in. Our store is inside of a fabric store so we sell the embroidery thread and the fabric store sells the sewing thread. I have not notices any gunking of my machine.
