  I have YLI quilting thread (the lady who runs our Quilt Shop is from USA so stocks this thread) I use it for hand quilting and love it, but yesterday I tried to use it for machine quilting and it is slippery. I did not notice if it gummed up the machine or not, will have to check. I also have Gutermann threads which are not as shiny as the YLI. I think I will look for the brand Marilyn has as well, you can never have too much cotton? We are of to the Quilt Convention at the end of February so will look for it there.
