Joyce , I don't machine quilt but did take a class and the one thing they stressed is not to use glazed cotton as the glaze will actually come off and gum up your machine. I do use glazed cotton for my hand quilting as I find it does not tangle and is nice and strong. I use YLI brand, which I find superior to others. But everyone has their own preference.
