Joyce, that must have been a funny sight, but one I am familiar with. A few years ago when I first started putting fabric through my printer I had that same problem and it is so frustrating. But at least i wasnt using bought sheets so if it didnt work there wasnt a huge cost. But the printer I use now seems to be more tolerant of my efforts.
Looking forward to progress reports of your quilt.
