  Just a tip for the sewing room. I recently purchased a set of 4 bed risers (look like little stands with an indent) from Linens and Things. The idea is to raise the bed for storage underneath. But I put them under the legs of my cutting table to raise it from 30 to 36 inches and it is much more comfortable on the back, arm and neck, expecially if cutting the pieces for a whole quilt at one time or any length of time. You can also buy them at a medical supply store, but at 3 times the cost.
