In Canada it is also November 11th and is called Remembrance Day. The Legion also sells poppies to raise funds for veterans. I will be in Florida for Nov 11th so will be buying another poppy there. There is always one on a ribbon on my car mirror along with my breast cancer pin.(one of many)
The quilt is very lovely and you should be so proud to display it, and so happy to have your hubby beside you as you do!
