    Hi Cheflatte,
    The Dresden Plate i do you place right sides together,fold each petal lengthwise,then using a 1/4 piecing foot,stitch across the widest part and then snip off the corner.
    You then the folded wedge right sides out positioning the seam in the centre to produce a point and finger press. You stitch and press all the wedges like this.
    I learnt this at mt lessons.
