  What i did to make some of my quilt panel stand out was to use polyester batting on the back of the design and quilt round the design with invisible thread.Then i cut the batting back but you don't cut the stitches.Yes Kathy is right you can use up all your scrap batting pieces.Next you quilt the panel in the normal way and quilt again round the designs.By the way your panel looks great to me.
